Vespucci's hiking packs make great gifts for Mothers' and Fathers' Day, birthdays, wedding presents and Christmas presents. We have tried to think of everything to encourage the recipient to get outside on a beautiful walk with family, friends or colleagues. There will be a cafe near the start, pub towards the end, great views and interesting places to see along the way. Most walks can be accessed directly by train. All the walks are based on local knowledge and are aimed at those who need some inspiration to get up and out!
"The Dark Peak" is a 4 hour hike, starting at Hathersage Station. This circular walk takes you into the dramatic uplands of the Peak District including walking along Stanage Edge. Hathersage is a charming town made famous by Jane Eyre. The views across to the Hope Valley are stunning and there is lots to see along the way including the grave of Little John, the trusted lieutenant of Robin Hood. We think this walk is a wonderful introduction to the Peak District with a good short cut if the weather closes in as well as various taxi pick up points. Make a weekend of it by staying in Hathersage. Head a couple of stops up the railway line and try out Vespucci's "The Vale of Edale", a circular walking taking in Kinder Scout and views of Mam Tor.
