You will hear about the history of The Bath Soft Cheese Co, and how they have taken their product from excellent to becoming the best in the world. After the tour, you will sample a selection of their cheeses before enjoying lunch in their award-winning café. Yes, even the café has an award, and for good reason as it’s rather lovely.There’s also a viewing gallery, duck pond, and huts outside where people can sit with their dogs. This farm believes that functional buildings can also be beautiful.
The Padfield family are the farmers and makers behind this award-winning cheese company. The cheese is made on the farm using the milk from their pasture-fed, Freisan herd. The water comes from a borehole, and the electricity from solar panels on the roofs of the dairy and barns. This is cheesemaking the old-fashioned way, with serious eco credentials.
