The Hedgerow Candle is made from 100% Soy Wax and paraben free fragrance oil blends. Caring for a soy wax candle ensures a longer-lasting, clean burn and optimal fragrance experience. Here's a simple guide to maintaining the beauty and performance of your candle:
1. First Burn Matters:
Allow the candle to burn until the entire surface melts to the edges on the first use. This prevents tunneling and sets the stage for an even burn in subsequent uses.
2. Trim the Wick:
Before each lighting, trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch to prevent excessive smoking and soot. A trimmed wick also promotes a steady flame and extends the life of your candle.
3. Avoid Drafts:
Place your candle away from drafts to ensure an even burn and prevent the flame from flickering excessively. Drafts can cause uneven melting and compromise the fragrance throw.
4. Burn in Sessions:
Ideally, burn your candle for 2-3 hours at a time. This allows the top layer to melt completely, maximizing the fragrance release and preventing uneven burning.
