My designs usually start with a awe inspiring moment of love for either colour or texture.

With this design it was the colour. I call it celestial blue - it reminds of the sky in romantic ceriubim paintings of Michelangelo and the old masters. The sublte soft pink stitching felt like the perfect compliment.
