iQ Chocolate

iQ Chocolate was launched in 2013 by Jane and Kate, who set out to challenge the reputation of chocolate and create an organic, naturally healthy chocolate bar that was also flavoursome and delicious.

Based in Stirling, they have developed a range of distinctive chocolate bars now stocked in 14 countries. Our award winning chocolate is free from nuts, dairy, gluten, wheat and soya, and low Gi (suitable for diabetics). iQ chocolate received gold stars in the Great Taste Awards, was featured on BBC Great British menu, Sunday Brunch, was on the menu for a banquet at the Olympics, and was showcased at the Ryder Cup.

iQ chocolate is the only chocolate bar to have scientifically validated health benefits, and can be described as a natural superfood. We have invested in partnerships with academic institutions, to assist us in finding the most nutritionally dense ingredients. Because of its international reputation, The Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health was particularly important in terms of our credibility in this field. Our most recent research project, with Queen Margaret University, to investigate the impact of our chocolate on sporting performance (research was done with the SRU International 7s squad) received a great deal of media attention.
