You will create your own mosaic masterpiece on slate, working with Artist Sarah Harper of Honey Mosaics. Sarah has worked on many large pieces of mosaic public art where projects have been run with collaboration at the heart of her work, she is specialised in working with children and young people but her projects see her working with people of all ages and abilities. Sarah runs a variety of workshops for all ages.
During the day your have a wide range of tessarae (tiles) to pick from and learn the essential skils such as tile cutting and placement which will enabel you to leave on the day feeling that you could indepenedly make more mosaics if you so wished!
The mosaic workshop experience is suitable for friends or family. I would be very happy also for a parent and child to attend my workshop, (age 12 plus).
This is a lovely gift experinece that would make a perfect Birthday or Christmas gift for a loved one.
LOCATION: Shenley Church End, Milton Keynes
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The is a maximum of four participants on a workshop in the studio. Weekend workshops run typically once a month and workshops run on most fridays. Workshops run 10am -4pm but times can be flexible.
Refreshments are included but please bring a packed lunch.
