To keep our mugs looking at their best we recommend hand washing them quickly after use, without using a scouring pads or detergent. Discolouration of our china can be avoided with a soak in warm water before further washing takes place. For more stubborn stains, try using bicarbonate of soda or soaking with a slice of lemon in boiled water. Or try a mixture of bicarbonate of soda, water and vinegar. Pour 1 tablespoon of baking soda into your mug. Make a solution of 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1/2 cup of warm water and pour this into the mug covering all of the stained area. Let this soak for at least 2 hours and then give it a gentle scrub at the end with a cloth. Our mugs can also be washed in a dishwasher at 40ºC. Use only the 'gentle,' 'short wash' or 'china and crystal' cycle with a gentle detergent, there are some great ones to try.
