I design and make jewellery in precious ethical metals in London. I have recently become a Fairtrade gold licencee and can now make and hallmark 18ct white and yellow gold with the Fairtrade hallmark.
The inspiration behind the jewellery comes from many different sources including visits to botanical gardens where the shapes, forms and structures of the plant life have inspired many pieces of jewellery. Visits to countries around the world, finding objects and visits to museums and art galleries are also very inspirational. I produce two collections of jewellery a year and the pieces include items such as earrings, rings, pendants and bracelets.
In recent years I have had the opportunity to exhibit my jewellery in places such as the Guildhall art gallery and the Mall galleries in London as well as exhibiting internationally in both retail and trade events. The jewellery produced has an air of elegant simplicity; some of the pieces are pared down and fine. Other items are set with colourful gemstones, often combining colours such as aquamarine with micro pave diamonds or amethysts with peridot gemstones. Jewellery can also be made to commission.
