An illustrated art print of London celebrating 100 years of Bauhaus Architecture.
In light of 100 years of Bauhaus (2019), I wanted to make a print of a building that epitomises the spirit of the Bauhaus in London.
Coate’s block in leafy Belsize Park, resembling a 'cruise ship' was the first of its kind to be constructed with reinforced concrete. It quickly attracted a list of famous residents – Marcel Breuer, Agatha Christie and Walter Gropius and even the odd Soviet spy.
The vision was to create a cutting-edge, communal building for young progressive thinking Londoners.
This poster is available in 4 different sizes A5, A4, A3, A2 and A1
