Warm tones of late summer gold combine with midnight blues in this charming original hare print
Harvesting the last sheaf of corn was called ‘cutting the hare’, because the hare is the embodiment of the corn-spirit. I love old customs and I love hares, so I drew this one amongst the corn under the crescent moon and a blue starry sky. If you can’t plait the last sheaf of corn into a the shape of a hare and store it, I’m pretty sure this print will give you good luck all year instead.
This hand pulled screenprint makes a lovely gift for anyone who loves rabbits, hares, corn, Folk mythology or late summer night skies.
Made from:
I use water based eco friendly acrylic inks in shades of tawny brown, midnight blues and and dark maroon brown for a dramatic artprint. The gradient in the colours mean each print is unique. All materials are archival to last as an heirloom into the future.
My screenprints are hand printed and hand registered by eye and unlike computer generated images are subject to slight variations that make each a unique piece of art.
