My Story

Beryl & Silver is a small, independent jewellery brand based in the glorious Somerset countryside.

Each piece of Beryl & Silver jewellery is consciously designed and made by hand using sterling silver, recycled sterling silver, and semi-precious and precious gemstones.

I created Beryl & Silver in memory of my nan, Beryl, and she is the inspiration behind every piece of jewellery that I make.

I have been making jewellery since I was a teenager, when I mainly created earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and hat pins for myself and my friends. Fast-forward to adulthood and a 25-plus year career in journalism, and a recent college course in silversmithing has reignited my passion for handmade jewellery and the beauty behind its creation.

At Beryl & Silver I create designs from the heart and each piece is made with love.

And every single item is unique - just like you.

My Inspiration

I created Beryl & Silver in memory of my nan, Beryl.

Professionally, Beryl was a life-long senior psychiatric nurse and met my grandad, also a senior psychiatric nurse, on the wards of a hospital in Greater London. I have always been full of pride for them both.

Personally, and Beryl was kind and loving, with sparkly eyes and a cheeky sense of fun. She loved fish and chips, the seaside, donkeys, and campervans.

She was also a bit of a magpie and she passed her love of jewellery down to me at an early age. We'd spend ages looking in jewellery shops and discussing the designs, the cut of the stones, the colours, the length of the necklaces, the hang of the hoops, and - more importantly - which piece she was going to save up for.

At Beryl & Silver I am proud to donate 10% of all profits to Age UK in Beryl's memory.

Premium DPD Next Day Delivery via courier is also available at an optional additional cost.

Every piece of Beryl & Silver jewellery comes displayed on a branded backing card and is delicately placed in a 100% natural cotton drawstring bag to keep your treasures looking their best.

A silver polishing cloth is also included with your order.
