Our Story
Mood enhancing scents to refresh your home.
Inspired by a love for candles and a commitment to sustainability, Maame Sarpong founded Purscents to create luxurious, nature-inspired home fragrances that enhance the home and wellbeing, all with the planet in mind. Guided by a desire to reduce waste and make sustainable choices.
Growing up in Ghana, Maame witnessed the impact of environmental issues like deforestation and plastic waste pollution. These experiences shaped her commitment to inspiring change, promoting sustainability and ethical values.
We’re not perfect, far from it actually. But we’re genuine in what we aim to do. We want to be recognised for our actions, not just our talk that is why:

4. We believe in the importance of giving back to our community and supporting causes that align with our core values.

Our Ingredients
What goes into our products matter that is why we do our best to ensure our ingredients are sustainably sourced, vegan-friendly, and cruelty-free.
WAX
100% plant-based blend of rapeseed and coconut wax. Rapeseed grows in the UK and in Europe and so it has a low carbon footprint and coconut is harvested by hand and doesn’t require pesticides or fertilizer. Our wax is biodegradable, non-GMO, and offers a clean, long-lasting burn.
DIFFUSER BASE
100% vegetable glycerin derived from renewable sources. It is vegan, cruelty free, biodegradable and not harmful to human, animals, or the environment.
SCENTS
Forget overbearing, synthetic fragrances. We only use 100% pure essential oils and extracts in our products because its not just about making your home ‘smell nice’. Our scents are designed to have therapeutic effects and, hopefully, enhance your wellbeing too.
JARS & BOTTLES
Our high quality food safe jars and bottles are easy to repurpose as the perfect storage in the home.
WICK & REEDS
Crafted from cotton, our wicks are free from any other artificial substances and our reeds are 100% rattan wooden sticks.

We hope you love your purchase from Purscents, but if you’re not entirely happy, we accept returns provided the item is unopened, in their original packaging and in a resaleable condition.
