Spend a relaxing weekend in the idyllic Herefordshire countryside learning how to make pottery on the potter's wheel.
Totally immersive two day experience packed full of potter's wheel, assembling and decorating techniques. You'll learn so much whilst chilling & making in our Idyllic Herefordshire studio. Perfect for beginners and improvers alike.
We have a lovely big studio and limit numbers to x8. This ensures plenty of space to get creative and guarentees lots of individual attention and guidance. We also have a cottage style Pottery garden with space to unwind and contemplate your throwing. Combined with the thereuputic benefits of working with clay, participants leave the studio on Sunday relaxed and with an overwhelming sense of well-being.

Directions:
The small Herefordshire village of Eastnor is located 2 miles east of Ledbury on the A438 Ledbury - Tewkesbury Road. NB If you are traveling via the M50, set the satnav to journey via Ledbury to avoid narrow, winding lanes and a ford.
Free parking:
Please do not park in the lane as there are plenty of spaces in the Pottery Carpark in-front of the studio.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Courses take place on specific weekends throughout the year.
Maximum of x8 participants per course
Minimum age14yrs.
Course runs 10am - 4pm both days and you'll have your own personal potter’s wheel for the duration.
Tea/coffee/biscuits are provided - please bring a packed lunch.
The weekend is peppered with demonstrations and information - there is also plenty of time for you to experiement with the techniques you've been shown.
Saturday is all about manipulating the soft clay on the wheel and you'll be taken, as a group, through the throwing process. Once you have the hang of things, you'll be encouraged to develop at your own pace with individual tutoring as and when required.
Your fabulous pots are left over night to firm up..
On Sunday, your 'leather hard' pots are ready to be trimmed on the wheel. Handles and motifs can also be added at this stage before finally painting and decorating.
Your creations are then dried, fired, glazed and dispatched to your home address, arriving approximately one month later.
